What a Week!

This week was intense! Isabella was sick, which meant no preschool (no break for mommy). Jose also got sick later in the week.

I had a photo shoot on Friday. I was so worried because I did not want to leave her if she was still feeling yucky. Thankfully by Friday she was okay, so I didn't feel too guilty.
It was so stressful trying to get to the shoot that was an hour away, do two looks, and get back within four hours! (The place that she stayed at has a four hour maximum.)

I made it (only 6 minutes late) driving back at about 85 in the carpool lane, only hit traffic right at downtown. Why is there always traffic on I-5 coming into downtown? It really doesn't matter what time of the day it is.

Anyways, that is what has been going on...hopefully this week will bring something a little more interesting. I'll post some pictures of the shoot when I get them. I worked with a great photographer Vince Miller. I worked with him about a year ago, here is a shot from that shoot.

Mexico here we come!!

Jose surprised me with tickets to Mexico for the first few weeks in December. We had talked about trying to go down before January, when I start the third trimester and can't fly.

Since it will be our last chance to travel for a while, also our last vacation just the tree of us it will be pretty special.

I am not really looking forward to putting on a bathing suit, but I guess I'll get over it...

Pictures!

Here are a bunch of pictures from the last few weeks.... it was hard to load them from the MAC, but I finally got some to work.

This is a dolphin that Bella drew in the car. She is such a little artist!

Isabella from her first week at preschool. Sorry, could not get the picture the right way...
We went to a farm to pick her pumpkins, and she got to pet this one month old calf. She was in Heaven. For those who don't know, Isabella is obsessed with animals, bugs, plants, and everything outdoors. I always tell her that she it my nature girl.
Isabella the Kangaroo! With her friends Mr. Pumpkin (Elias) and Princess Sadie.
Bella and her Papa carving the Jack-o-lantern at the Preschool Halloween party.

Hear Jose the announcer!!

Jose did a radio commercial a few weeks back. I LOVE his "announcer voice." He did tons of voice over work in Peru, he was the voice of the national lottery, everyday he announced the numbers. A few times some Peruvian friends that he has made here in the U.S. have recognized his voice.
He has done many commercials here in the U.S. but I can never seem to catch them on the radio. It was so fun to be able to hear it, now you can too!

It is the last of the three radio ads, his is titled "Sin Hogar" and his voice comes in at the end.
(Yes it's in Spanish...)

Makeup pics

I just had a client send me some pictures from her wedding that I did the makeup for a few weeks back. I think that they turned out so pretty, she wanted an old Hollywood Glamour look and I think that we totaly got it. It didn't hurt that she was just a natural beauty, which made my job a piece of cake.

I am in the middle of adding them to my work website as well. Hint Hint http://www.jennaosoriomakeupartist.com/

Oh, and I am going to do the other pictures of Bella tonight, I just need to get them into the computer! (Now that I put that on here I have to do it!!)

Election Day

Okay Okay... I know that I said I would post some pics, and I will all in good time. I did want to post about today. Excuse me for a moment while I get onto my political soap box.
I am so excited about Election Day. I can't believe that I get to be part of such a historical moment.

The last few days I have had people from the Obama camp stop by everyday to make sure that I am voting, and it makes me so happy that people still care enough to do that.
Honestly after Bush won in the last election I felt pretty apathetic about the whole election process. Today driving around people on the overpasses and street corners with Obama signs...it makes me feel really appreciative to live in such a progressive place.
Anyways, who ever you are rooting for, Vote for goodness sakes. Either way McCain or Obama will be better than Bush. (a monkey would be better than Bush...)
